Word Dissociation Game

You may well have played the word association game amongst friends where each person in turn tries to give a word associated with the previous word. Well in the Word Dissociation Game, the goal is the opposite. You must come up with chains of words in which each word has as little association with the last word as possible.

How it works

Each word you type in is first checked to see that it exists at dictionary.com. Each word is then searched for using the Gigablast search engine to find how many web pages contain your word. When you type in a second word, the game compares the number of pages that contain each word invidually with the number of pages containing both words together. This gives you an association value of between 0 and 100%.

You only get 20 seconds to come up with each word so you must be quick. You cannot use the same word twice. The game ends when you finish a chain of 20 words. Your final score is determined by how dissociated each of the pairs of words in your chain is. To start, enter any random word you can think of below:
