Project Timer

This is a program I wrote while working at my mum’s company, Rubric. I had lots of work to do on various different projects. I needed to keep a record of my time spent working on each project so they could be invoiced for separately. To keep track of the work I was doing I whipped up this VB program. It sits in your system tray and counts away the time you are spending at your computer.

You can quickly switch between which project or task you want the time to be counted against by selecting from the system tray icon menu. You can pause or resume the timer by middle clicking the icon. If you are away from your computer for more than 5 minutes then the current project is automatically paused. The 5 minutes you were idle are not included in the project’s total time.

A summary of the time you’ve taken on each of your projects or tasks is shown on the main window:

I’d love to try this app, but it won’t open on my computer .. I keep getting the message “Run-time error ‘339′: Component ‘COMCTL32.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.”

any suggestions? i would really appreciate it! cheers… :-)
